Snap! - Golden Chicken, Futurama, Driving on Sunshine, Acting After Death Spiceworks Originals.I have a USG Pro on version 4.4.57 and have been for several weeks or more.I updated my US-48-500W on Wednesday night to 6.5.32.Thursday at 12:55 PM I had to hard reboot (pull the power) of my USG Pro to get it to re associate with my ISP, after which D. DHCP relay not working USG Pro and Unifi switches Networking.Is this a multicast issue? Is there a port I need open on my FW (an ASA 5510)? Philips' documentation for this product is awful and it's not really intended for business use (trust me, I told the users that.) If they VPN in with their phones, the bridge wants them to go press the hardware button again to reauthorize the connection (not sure if it's because the VPN exposes a different IP or MAC address to the bridge than the on-site connection?) My main problem then is that the maintenance guys can't connect the bridge to the cloud platform and therefore can only control it from within the building, which defeats the remote control purpose of the entire project.
(Note to others performing the same setup - definitely create a reservation for the Bridge, as it doesn't offer any option for a static IP - DHCP only)Īlso, when you link a new phone to the bridge, you have to physically press a button on the bridge to authorize the link.
The phone app can't automatically find the bridge, but if I give it the direct IP of the device it is able to link to it and control the lights as long as you're internal to the network. Part of the setup process involves linking the Hue Bridge with your online account, but the setup process cannot find the bridge. Recently the maintenance guys got the bright idea (no pun intended) to replace some of the decorative uplighting with Philips Hue bulbs, and they asked me to help with the technical side and the installation of the Philips Hue Bridge (a small hub of sorts that hangs off an ethernet line and communicates with the bulbs). One of our facilities is a fitness center, whose 2960X is uplinked to another 2960X, which in turn is uplinked to the core via fiber. I run an all-Cisco network, using a 3560G as my core switch and 2960X switches at my spokes. Alright, SpiceHeads, I have a (hopefully not) new question for you:
